Nolda Montgomery was born in Kingston, Jamaica, but spent her childhood years in the parish of St. Mary. Despite the tumultuous life that she experienced in her early years, she eventually found her place and purpose in life.
Her ultimate dream of becoming a teacher was realized when she graduated from Passley Gardens Teachers’ College where she earned her Diploma in teaching. Later, she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Education at the University of the West Indies, and a Master’s Degree in Education at North Central University, Arizona.
She has taught in schools in Jamaica, New York and Bermuda. Currently, she teaches Communication Studies at Campion College in Kingston, Jamaica.
Nolda is a self-motivator with a passion for excellence and an undying love for children. This love has prompted her to be the voice for those who are crying out in the wilderness.
Writing has always been her passion; thus through teaching, she encourages her students to use writing as a channel to purge their minds and create their own oasis.
She is the mother of two sons whom she considers to be her gifts from God.
